Cobweb Thistle

A California native perennial herb that can reach up to ten feet tall. This thistle grows along the coast and is not an invasive weed like other thistles. The flowers are pink, red, and purple blooming in the spring through summer. The stems are white with spines and have fibers that resemble cobwebs.
