Hosta Saras Sensation is a bold and showy perennial that brings both colour and texture to shaded gardens. The leaves are thick, heavily corrugated and slightly cupped, with a blue-green centre surrounded by very wide gold margins that age to creamy-beige tones. In early to midsummer, it produces near-white flowers held above the foliage, adding both seasonal interest and ecological value by attracting pollinators.

It flourishes in bright shade to shade, in average to rich, well-drained soil with even moisture. It is noted for being resistant to verticillium wilt and is excellent for large borders, woodland gardens or as a specimen where its large size and striking variegation can be appreciated.
