Nepeta racemosa Blue Wonder, also known as garden catmint Blue Wonder, is a compact, aromatic perennial with a soft grey-green foliage that forms neat mounds. From early summer to autumn it is smothered in rich blue tubular flowers which are larger and more vivid than many other Nepetas. The blooms are held upright on stiff stems, offering continuous colour and attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators. The plants foliage is slightly wrinkled and silvery, adding textural contrast to garden beds even when not in bloom.

This variety thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, tolerating dry conditions once established. It has low maintenance needs: cutting back after the first flowering flush helps maintain its shape and can encourage further blooms. Blue Wonder is fully hardy in the UK and suitable for use in borders, gravel gardens, or as a ground cover. Its compact size also makes it a good choice for edging paths or planting in containers.
