Philodendron Green Congo Variegated is a striking variegated form of the popular houseplant Philodendron Green Congo. Variegation patterns vary widely among individual plants, ranging from small speckles to large blotchesand may even include hints of pink or red.

Native to:
Philodendron Green Congo Variegated is a cultivated hybrid, but the parent plants originate from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, where they thrive in warm, humid conditions.

Water:
Allow the top 25cm of potting medium to dry before watering. Thoroughly water until drainage occurs, then discard excess to prevent waterlogging. Reduce watering in cooler, lower-light seasons.

Light:
Provide bright, filtered light. Direct sun, especially from south or westfacing windows, may scorch the delicate variegated leaf areasuse sheer curtains or position the plant at least about a metre away. Insufficient light may cause fading of variegation.

Humidity:
This plant thrives in environments where humidity is maintained between 60% and 80%. In typical UK indoor conditions, increasing humidity using a pebble tray, grouping with other plants, or using a humidifier is advisable. If humidity regularly exceeds 70%, terrariums (if the plant remains small enough) can be an excellent option to retain moisture.

Temperature:
Ideal daytime temperatures range from 18C to 30C, and night temperatures should stay above 15C to avoid stress. Avoid placing the plant near cold drafts or unheated areas common in some UK homes.
