Here at Happy Houseplants, we like to offer unusual and hard to find plants. This plant has really come into fashion for obvious reasons – beautiful foliage with gorgeous colours, the Caladiums have become a seasonal favourite.
Native to South American tropical rainforests, thisplant loves humidity, and will thrive in hot humid conditions. Feed-in Spring and early summer in the growing season with good plant food like our Original Vegan Plant Foodand use our Tropical Plant Dewto mist the plant regularlyin the height of summer.In winter Caladium may go dormant and slowly die back to tubers, once the leaves are spent, cut them off, store them in a dark, dry space over winter and stop watering until next spring. Inideal environments, Caladium can be kept active year long.

Where should I put this plant?
Caladiums like a bright spot with indirect light – any room in the house is fine really as long as the light is good.
How should I water it?
Water perhaps every couple of weeks in summer, less in winter. Only water when the top two inches of soil are dry, do not overwater. CaladiumsMonstera loves humidity so a misting spray and a humid environment are ideal – think rainforest!
Does it need feeding?
You can use a liquid plant feed a couple of times in the spring/summer months. We sell our own vegan, organic plant food.
Is this plant suitable if I have pets?
No, this plant is toxic to pets.
What size is this plant?
10cm pot. They will grow to about 24 inches (60 cm) high and 24 inches (60 cm) wide.
